Charlton Murove is the head of research at the Board of Healthcare Funders of Southern Africa. He is a qualified actuary with a strong track record in healthcare and retirement funds. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce honours degree in actuarial science from the National University of Science and Technology, Zimbabwe.

Charlton worked at Quantum Consultants and Actuaries, QED Actuaries and Consultants and Metropolitan. After Metropolitan, he was appointed as an actuarial specialist at Alexander Forbes Financial Services before joining the Council for Medical Schemes as a senior researcher. At the CMS he worked on issues affecting the medical schemes environment.

He is currently studying towards a MSc in epidemiology specialising at the University of Witwatersrand.
